Angels From Above:

Our family was cracking and falling apart.

We needed help but we didn’t know where to start.

We called out to God, “Send an Angel to help!”

Please send somebody soon, because we’re in a place we’ve never felt.

Waiting for an angel, so blind we couldn’t see.

We kept watching for the angel, but instead, he sent us three.

The angels looked like puppies, but they came from the Most High.

And they came just in a moment when we though that we might die.

The puppies seemed so helpless and so tiny when they came.

We wondered “How could they help us, or are we just insane?”

But now our house is bursting full of happiness and joy.

The puppies taught us how to live, to be thankful and fetch a ball.

At first it looked like we were the ones that saved them on that day.

And was it a coincident they were born on Christmas Eve?

Be careful what you ask God for; you don’t know what he’ll send.

We asked him for an angel, we got three pup’s instead.

Now our house is bursting out with purpose, joy, and love.

And it’s all because we asked him for an angel from above.

Kids Grow Up Fast

This is from our vacation in Orlando, FL at Disney World a few years ago. You don't really realize how quick your children are growing up until you look back a couple of years and see how much they have grown since then.

I hadn't been very motivated to plan out a vacation for the family this year until my wife posted some pictures on Facebook from this previous vacation.  But as soon as I realized how much they had grown in just a couple of years, I became aware that soon my children wouldn't be children for much longer.

I'm embarrassed that it took seeing these pictures to wake me up from my contentment with just cooking out in the back yard and taking short one day road trips.  And the kids never complained or asked to go anywhere.  They know I have chronic pain syndrome and fibromyalgia and that long trips are hell for me.

My kids always put me before their own needs and they are always doing things for me and constantly asking me if I need anything.  They are a blessing from God to me.  Maybe it's time for me to try and be a blessing to them.

Let God's will be done.
